WHAT IS YOUR BEEF FED?
Our beef is fed a diet of hay/grass and grain. The grain in their diet helps us meet our environmental targets and produces a more marbled beef product.
IS YOUR BEEF HORMONE AND ANTIBIOTIC FREE?
We don't use any hormones in raising our beef. By law all beef must be free from antibiotics in Canada.
HOW DO I GET MY ORDER?
Orders can either be picked up on our farm just outside of Foresters Falls or delivery can be arranged. We offer free delivery if you make a minimum order. Those minimums are: Renfrew/Cobden $40, Arnprior/White Lake Village/Burnstown $50, Pembroke $75, Petawawa/Ottawa $125. If you're not sure exactly where you fall in our delivery area or you would like to make a large order outside of our delivery area contact us and we'll try to make arrangements.
DO YOU SELL A QUARTER, HALF, OR WHOLE COW?
Yes, we will sell larger orders. You can decided how you want the beef cut to meet your needs. We'll work out a price based on your order.
WHAT CUTS DO I GET IN A WHOLE, HALF, QUARTER?
We typically get about 450-550lbs of retail cuts from one animal. About 40-45% of that meat is ground beef. Unless you're targeting stew beef there is only a few pounds per quarter. There would be a few pounds per quarter soup bones. The remainder of the cuts are either steaks or roasts and basically every cut can either be turned into steaks or roasts.
